403	Failure to monitor the water for parameters required by the regulation, the operating permit or the directions of the DWO. Observation: A full chemical analysis is required to be conducted. Corrective Action: Please have a full chemical analysis sample submitted by the end of 2019.
404	Failure to monitor the water at the frequency required by the regulation, the operating permit or the directions of the DWO. Observation: No samples were submitted by Lafarge in 2019.. Corrective Action: Minimum of 1 samples required per month as specified in the operating permit

Water Sample - Microbiological

Comments:
Met with new operator, Kent Orrock as former operator, Chris Crawford is no longer with the company. The water system consists of a 5 micron filter --> UV --> Sock Filter --> Heavy Metal (Metsorb) --> water softener --> Chlorination --> mixing Please continue to monitor the chlorine residuals. Only 6 samples submitted in 2018 on 3 separate occasions - this must be improved. A bacteriological sample was taken at the time of inspection. No samples were submitted by Lafarge in 2019. Things required from VCH: 1. An updated emergency response and contingency plan as there were recent staff changes within VCH. A template will be emailed to the operator. 2. An annual report completed by June 2020 A template will be emailed to the operator. 3. A full chemical analysis on the well water to be conducted in 2019. 4. For Lafarge to come up with a way to increase sampling frequency for 2019. Suggestions have been made to get in touch with other Texada water operators who are bringing samples over already.
