Comments:
1. Hazard Observation #305; Insufficient Bacteriological Sampling
Samples need to be collected on a monthly basis during the operating season (May to September) from the 2 sample sites (Caretakers House and Kitchen).
2. Hazard Observation #306; Unapproved Water Source, No Construction Permit
The new groundwater wells require approval of the source water and the alterations to the water system require a construction permit.
Submit the well log, water quality analysis and engineering plan of water system by December 1, 2004.
Note; A revised operating permit will be issued upon approval of the water source and issuance of a construction permit.
3. Hazard Observation #309; Emergency Response Plan
An emergency response plan is required (Section 13, Drinking Water Protection Regulation). Submit this plan for review by December 1, 2004.
4. Hazard Observation #310; Operator Certification
Section 12 of the Drinking Water Protection Regulation requires that operators of water systems be certified according to the Environmental Operators Certification Program by January 1, 2005. Refer to the attached letter addressed to Small Water System Operators.
