Violations:
A summary of the violations found during the inspection are listed below.

Code   Description / Observation / Corrective Action
402   Food is protected from contamination (Sec 12(b))
Observation: The insides of coolers are not clean.
Corrective Action: Thorough clean all areas where cold foods are stored. Ensure there is no ponding water or food debris accumulation.
505   Repeat Food premises maintained in a sanitary condition (Sec 17(1))
Observation: Overall sanitation has deteriorated since the last inspection. Most surfaces are dirty, food debris and dust have accumulated on shelves, under counters and on floors.
Corrective Action: Cleaning in this area must be improved. All areas require a thorough cleaning. Make sure to include high hand traffic areas: fridge handles, soap and paper towel dispenser, faucets, door handles etc. Also include hard to reach areas: to the back of storage shelves, under counters and in the cupboard under the coffee station. Some areas of the floors will need to be scraped to remove the black scum that has formed and some areas of the ceiling have dust clumps that need to be removed.
802  Critical Premises are free of pests (Sec 26(a)
Observation: There is a noticeable fruit fly presence in the service area.
Corrective Action: Food premises must be free of pests. Some pest control measures are in place, however they do not appear to be working. The fly issue is likely exacerbated by the poor sanitation. Additional measures must be taken to bring the problem under control. This should include consultation with the pest control company and routine disinfection treatments for drains (including floor drains). Regular cleaning and removal of food debris and excess moisture is also required, especially in the dishwashing area, as well as routine cleaning and sanitizing of all surfaces.
