Observation: The handwash station in the kitchen is broken.
Corrective Action: Repair the handwash station as soon as possible and ensure that the other sink is available for handwashing at all times.
702   Written procedures identify all critical control points (CCPs) (Sec 23(3) (a))
Observation: The soups from the commissary must all be reheated to 74C. The current food safety plan only requires the 2nd reheat to be done on the stove to reach 74C before hot holding.
Corrective Action: Ensure that this practice is immediately changed so that all reheating of foods ensures that foods reach 74C before hot holding. Incorporate this into an updated temperature log sheet.
801  Critical Live animals except guide animals are not permitted in food prep, storage or processing (Sec. 25(2)(a)
Observation: A large dog was observed on the premises at the time of inspection and was not removed at the time of inspection.
Corrective Action: Animals are not permitted inside a food premises. Section 25 of the Food Premises Regulation states: "an operator of food premises must not permit live animals to be on the premises". As such, it is the Operator's responsibility to ensure that animals are not permitted on the premises. Further violations of this nature will result in a $115 fine as per the Violation Ticket Administration and Fines Regulation. Signage is available if required.
