Comments:

Cafe service is now closed at the premises. The kitchen facility is used for catering events as well as for outside vendors. Please provide a list of all outside vendors that use the kitchen space including a schedule of the time designated for each business.

For catering service - the current permit for the establishment allows for catering to be completed - this means that food may be prepared on site and transported to a private event for a meal service. Food cannot be cooked or prepared onsite (for example using a bbq to cook meat) unless a temporary permit application is submitted. There are 14 days allowed for temporary permits in a year. In addition, a temporary permit application is also required for any event where the service is vending (i.e. not one meal, food is offered for sale throughout the day), at public events such as fairs and sporting events. To be approved for more than 14 days, a mobile cart is required.

A temporary permit is not required at the farmer's market if only low hazard foods are offered (such as baked goods with non-dairy fillings), or it is a pre-packaged product prepared in a commercial kitchen.
