Observation: Ice cream scoop stored in container of water beside ice-cream freezer, between uses. This is not an approved method of storage for ice cream scoop.
Corrective Action: Please store ice cream scoop in a sanitary manner between uses. The following methods are acceptable options: 1) Store scoop under running, cold water or in a flowing dipper well, 2) Store scoop in the ice cream bucket with the handle extended out of the ice cream, 3) Wash, rinse, sanitize and air dry the scoop after each use, 4) Store scoop in container of sanitizing solution between uses - refresh sanitizing solution often throughout day.
113   Repeat Improper Sanitary Facilities
Observation: Inadequate handwashing facilities - in food prep area - liquid handsoap and paper towels are available for handwashing - however, liquid handsoap dispenser is not wall-mounted.
Corrective Action: Handbasins must be supplied with liquid soap and paper towels at all times during operation. By September 27, 2006, please provide wall-mounted liquid soap dispenser at handwash station.
