Observation: The floor in the bar has been damaged. A large hole in the floor near the glass washer.
Corrective Action: Refinish the floor in the bar. Target completion 6 months from the date of this inspection.
402   Food is protected from contamination (Sec 12(b))
Observation: Beer bottles stored in the ice sink on the bar.
Corrective Action: Do not store anything in the ice intended for human consumption. The ice scoop should be stored outside the sink in a clean container.
507  Critical Equipment, utensils and food surfaces are washed and sanitized (Sec 17(2))
Observation: Mechanical dishwasher in the kitchen is not providing any detectable sanitizer in the rinse cycle.
Corrective Action: Repair the dishwasher within 3 days from the date of this inspection. In the meantime, manually sanitize all the utensils.
604  Critical Adequate handwashing stations at convenient locations are available for employees (Sec 21 (4))
Observation: No soap and paper towel on the bar sink.
Corrective Action: Provide soap and paper towel on the bar.

Corrective Action: Restock the paper towel dispenser in the back food handling area.

Observation: Hot water on the front hand sink has been turned off due to a broken tap.
Corrective Action: Restore hot water on the front sink within a week. In the meantime, provide soap on the second sink.

Comments:

Routine inspection.
In compliance items:
- All the cooling units with potentially hazardous foods are running at 4 degree Celsius or below. (Note: One of the line coolers in the front is broken and as per information provided by the operator, a repair order has been placed).
- Freezers running -18 degree Celsius or below.
- Hot holding > 60 degree Celsius.
- Temperature logs being maintained.
- Thermometers available in the cooling units.
- No signs of any pest infestation.
- Food storage practices in the walk in cooler appear to be satisfactory.
- Food Service Establishment Permit posted.
- Foodsafe certified food handlers available.


Note: This facility does not have a dedicated janitorial sink. The operator advised to plan for a janitorial sink.
