Corrective Actions Remaining: -Do Not Consume notice will remain in effect until proper treatment has been installed on the water system that can reduce the level of total arsenic below the Maximum Acceptable Concentration (MAC). -Hire a treatment specialist to assess the water system and propose an effective treatment method. -Prior to installing any treatment, a Construction Permit must be issued by Northern Health. -Once effective treatment has been installed, a pre-treatment and post-treatment chemical sample must be received that shows arsenic levels are below the MAC. -Two satisfactory water results, taken at least 24 hours apart, must be received (0 total coliforms, 0 E. coli). |
