Introduction

An unscheduled inspection was conducted to assess compliance with the Community Care and Assisted Living Act (CCALA), the Child Care Licensing Regulations (CCLR) and the relevant Director of Licensing Standards of Practice (DLSP). All areas of the facility were inspected for compliance

Current Inspection - Items reviewed comply with the Act, regulations & standards of practice.

Observed Violations
No violations were found during the inspection.

Comments

At the inspection dated March 6, 2020 there were 22 children and 6 staff present.

Discussion took place regarding immunization status information, and what would meet the intent of the regulations. As long as the status of the immunization process is indicated in each child's registration file, the intent of the regulation is met.

Circle time, outdoor play and lunch prep were observed today.

No coded violations were noted during today's inspection; no written response is requested at this time.

As part of this Routine Inspection a Facility Risk Assessment Tool is completed and a copy is provided.
The following education/recommendations were provided:
· Promoting Active Play in the program
· Temporary Placements

The following resources were provided:
· Reportable Incident Bulletin
· Active Supervision
· Safe sleeping environments
· Child Care Links: Program of Activities
· Lead in Water
· Knowing the difference between Cleaners, Sanitizers and Disinfectants.
