Introduction

An unscheduled routine inspection was conducted to assess compliance with the Community Care and Assisted Living Act (CCALA), the Child Care Licensing Regulations (CCLR) and the relevant Director of Licensing Standards of Practice (DLSP). All areas of the facility were inspected for compliance.

Current Inspection - Items reviewed comply with the Act, regulations & standards of practice.

Observed Violations

No violations were found during the inspection.

Comments

At the inspection dated March 4, 2020 there were 23 children and 2 staff present. Staff to child ratios and qualifications were met. At this inspection no contraventions were identified. As part of this Routine Inspection a Facility Risk Assessment Tool is completed and a copy is provided. Minor Incident Log A reminder to be consistent in documenting notification to parents of any minor incidents. Discussed with the Manager. It is recommended that once parents are notified that staff indicate this information in the minor incident log. Licensing discussed recent publications that were emailed to Licensee's. Manager advised that recent publications from Licensing have been received.
