Observation:
Water is pooling in the floor drain near the cash register. Operator informed that the plumber has been called and will come on Monday.
Corrective Action(s):
Clear out water from floor drain and ensure that there is no more pooling of water. Floor drains can be an entrance point for rodents and accumulation of water can lead to fly attraction and mould growth. To be corrected by September 5, 2017.

306 - Food premises not maintained in a sanitary condition [s. 17(1)]
Observation:
General sanitation of premises requires immediate improvement, including the following areas:
- Floor between ice machine and wall.
- Behind ice cream machine.
- Underneath equipment.
- Underneath dry storage area for cups.
- Mop sink area.
- Underneath beverage syrup rack.
Corrective Action(s):
Clean all areas listed above. Ensure you are frequently cleaning hard to reach areas and following your sanitation plan for daily, monthly, weekly and seasonal cleaning. To be corrected by September 5, 2017.

Observation:
Wall across ice machine has coat hooks for employees however several pairs of shoes were found underneath coat hooks that were coming in the path of the door. This can be a tripping hazard.
Corrective Action(s):
Get a shoe rack for employees or place the shoes in a separate designated area rather than in front of the door. To be corrected by September 5, 2017.

Routine Inspection:
- Hand washing stations fully equipped with liquid soap, paper towels and hot/cold running water.
- All temperatures met health requirements:
Coolers maintained at or below 4 degrees Celsius.
Freezer temperatures satisfactory.
Hot holding maintained above 60 degrees Celsius.
- QUAT sanitizer in buckets = 200 ppm. Wiping clothes stored in sanitizer solution - good.
- 3-compartment sink used for manual dishwashing.
- QUAT sanitizer for manual dishwashing = 200 ppm.
- QUAT sanitizer in dispenser at 3-compartment sink = 200 ppm.
- Ice machine clean.
- Toppings and condiments stored at room temperature all had expiry tags and times on them - all satisfactory at the time of inspection.
- No signs of rodent activity at the time of inspection.
