Food Service area:
Health permit posted and valid.
Manager to confirm with operators type of ownership so that corrections can be made on the permit.
Hand sink provided with liquid soap and paper towels.
Line coolers were at or below 4 deg C. Monitor deli cooler as it had issues in the past.
Soup was above 60 deg C.
Ice cream freezer was at -11 deg C. Dipper well was working properly.
Temperature log was available and up to date.
Sanitizer (bleach) measured >100 ppm (bucket and spray bottle).
No signs of pests noted and pest control monitoring in place.
Note:
Processing being done in the kitchen - soups are prepared, packaged and stored in freezers for retail.
Some times cabbage rolls and lasagna are also prepared, packaged and stored in freezers for retail.
Please refrain from making these products until a Food Safety Plan and Sanitation Plan for processing have been submitted and approved.
Also, products must have proper labelling. Please consult with Canadian Food Inspection Agency regarding labelling requirements.
Food Store area:
Freezers were at or below -18 deg C.
Display coolers were at or below 4 deg C.
Overall sanitation was satisfactory at time of inspection.
