Introduction

An unscheduled routine inspection was conducted to assess compliance with the Community Care and Assisted Living Act (CCALA), the Child Care Licensing Regulations (CCLR) and the relevant Director of Licensing Standards of Practice (DOLSOP).

Observed Violations
No violations were found during the inspection.

Comments

Summary of Inspection
At today’s inspection there were 17 children and 5 staff present. At this inspection no contraventions were identified. As part of this Routine Inspection, a Facility Risk Assessment Tool was completed. This report was reviewed with the staff onsite and a copy was provided.
The following items were discussed with staff on site:
-Sunscreen: safe and hygienic sunscreen application must be practiced with children to avoid any cross contamination/ spreading germs
-GCC program advertising ( to identify care program offered)
-Outdoor play space: to keep a log for all inspection, repairs and maintenance
-Screen Policy: to ensure screen time is limited to 30 min or less a day for GCC ( 30 months to school age) and no screen time to be offered to children under 2
