Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): An insert of raw fish fillets was stored around frying station although there were no orders made at time of inspection. Fish was measured at 10C.
Corrective Action(s): Raw fish fillet was transferred to cooler. Ensure to take out small batches during slower service. Raw fish fillet should be stored at 4C or colder.

302 - Equipment/utensils/food contact surfaces not properly washed and sanitized [s. 17(2)]
Observation: Bleach sanitizer in the waitressing station was measured at 0ppm. Ice machine has mildew inside.
Corrective Action(s): Ensure there is 100ppm bleach sanitizer ready to use. Properly clean the ice machine; it should be cleaned every 6 months by professional company at minimum.

401 - Adequate handwashing stations not available for employees [s. 21(4)]
Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): No soap in the kitchen handwashing station.
Corrective Action(s): Operator refilled soap immediately. Ensure there is soap and paper towel, hot & cold running water available in all handwashing stations. Change the jar of handsoap in waitressing station to pump soap if the automatic dispenser does not work.

Observation: A large frozen halibut was stored directly on the floor of the walk-in freezer (leaning against the wall). No container or bag was used.
Corrective Action(s): Please ensure all food is stored 6 inches off the floor. Food should be stored in food grade container or bag.

304 - Premises not free of pests [s. 26(a)]
Observation: Fruit flies noted in several areas - kitchen dishpit, waitressing area/pop fountain, office, floor drain in office, staff washroom and some around draft beer in dining area.
Corrective Action(s): Increase cleaning as per direction on code 306. Replace all fly glue strips as they are full.

306 - Food premises not maintained in a sanitary condition [s. 17(1)]
Observation: Food debris/organics and water pooling noted in following areas: standup cooler (white racks), under rubber mat where potato peeler machine is stored, flooring behind equipment (corner of gravy station, coolers, under frying station), flooring in office, on and under shelving units and around pop fountain machine.
Corrective Action(s): Deep cleaning in all hard to reach areas must be done by follow up inspection.

Observation: Ceiling light above gravy station is still not changed. Cover for ceiling light above frying station is broken. Standup cooler in kitchen is reading 6C. Ice bin cover is difficult to close.
Corrective Action(s): Replace ceiling light and cover. Plastic sleeves around each ceiling light is allowed if original light cover cannot be found. Adjust the standup cooler so it can store food at 4C or colder. Repair/replace ice bin cover so it can be closed properly.
