-Inspection conducted to grant health approval for owner change.
-Operator has submitted food safety and sanitation plans --> will be reviewed
-Operator intends to participate in Giro de Burnaby --> deadline for application submission has passed - Submit application by July 3 in order to be processed. (extension of deadline granted).
-Health application form provided - submit completed form with copy of certificate of incorporation by July 3.
-All coolers (display cases, walk in, retail ..etc) 4 deg. C or less.
-Retail freezer has lid -12 deg. C
-Hand wash station in wash room & processing area has soap, paper towel, hot and cold running water.
-2 drain plugs available for sinks.
-Reviewed manual ware washing procedures at time of inspection. Wash with soap & water, rinse with clean water, sanitize for 2 minutes with 100 ppm chlorine, air dry.
-chlorine sanitizer test strips available.
-Reviewed cleaning/sanitizing process for large clean in place meat equipment (ie band saw, grinder...etc) - Entire units are taken apart and cleaned/sanitized once every 4 hrs OR after each use.
-Screen in place over open back door
-General sanitation satisfactory. No obvious signs of pest activity.
-Premises is approved to process raw meats/beef only. All chicken and eggs and cheese to be cold prepackaged. |
