Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Hand sink located in the drive-thru window did not have soap in dispenser.
Corrective Action(s): Provide liquid soap in pump-style container. This mus be replace with a permanently wall-mounted dispenser.

209 - Food not protected from contamination [s. 12(a)]
Observation: Ice machine have rusted bolts inside and rust stains visible on the wall of this equipment.
Corrective Action(s): This ice machine requires proper servicing to ensure it is in good working order and also to prevent ice from being contaimnated. All rusty bolts must be replaced and rust stains to be removed on the inside side walls. This equipment must be maintained as the ice is used for consumption.

307 - Equipment/utensils/food contact surfaces are not of suitable design/material [s. 16; s. 19]
Observation: Raw plywood used for holding oil containers underneath the cooking area. Plastic advertising sign used in the upright freezer. Flattened cardboard boxes used to hold up the cone containers.
Corrective Action(s): Raw wood, ad signs and flattened cardboard boxes should not be used in the kitchen area for storage, etc. These items cannot be properly cleaned and sanitized. Discard carboard boxes. Replace raw wood with material that is non-porous, easily cleanable and durable. Ad sign to be removed from the freezer. Replace with a more appropriate material that can be washed and sanitized.

Observation: There were areas are worn out that was noted from previous inspection and should have addressed during the previous renovation. Other areas were not completed or finished (i.e. missing tile floors, dry wall, etc.
Corrective Action(s): Repair all worn out areas and finish all areas that were left unfinished. Some major renovations required in the kitchen area in the future to ensure that all construction is meeting health requirements.

Comments

Hand sinks supplied with liquid soap and paper towels with the exception of the drive-thru. See correction section.
Sanitizer (quats) measured 200 ppm in buckets.
Walk-in freezer was at -17 deg C.
Walk-in cooler was at 6-8 deg C. This equipment was being cleaned at time of inspection.
Ice cream machines were at or below 4 deg C.
Line coolers were at or below 4 deg C.
Hot holding for burger patties, chicken strips, bacon, gravy was at or above 60 deg C.
Temperature log was available and up to date.
Staff had valid Food Safe 1 certification. Ensure all shifts are covered that at least one person on duty have Food Safe 1.
Staff hygiene - clean uniforms and hair restraint available
Active pest control in place
Display freezers (cakes, dilly bars) were at -14 to -16 deg C.
Washrooms were clean and provided with sanitary supplies.
General sanitation was satisfactory but some areas in the back area requires some attention.
