Introduction

A routine inspection was conducted to assess compliance with the Community Care and Assisted Living Act (CCALA), the Child Care Licensing Regulations (CCLR) and the relevant Director of Licensing Standards of Practice (DLSP). The facility was inspected for compliance with a focus on Health and Hygiene practices/systems.
The Covid-19 Risk Screening Tool was completed with the facility manager prior to today's inspection as required by the Fraser Health Authority. Licensing outlined the precautions that would be taken during the inspection.

No violations were found during the inspection.

Comments

The Facility Manager was not present for today's inspection however the designated supervising staff provided details on the steps taken to increase monitoring of added health and hygiene measures. Safety Plan posted.
At the inspection dated July 31, 2020 there were 8 children and 2 staff present. At this inspection no contraventions were identified. As part of this Routine Inspection a Facility Risk Assessment Tool is completed and a copy is provided.
Facility uses a product for disinfecting , discussed ensuring Bleach solution is available to sanitize food contact surfaces. The following information is provided for your use:
How do you use Presept disinfectant tablets?
DIRECTION FOR USE

Following disinfection, remove equipment and rinse thoroughly with potable water. Rough dry. For effective disinfection, PRESEPT® Solution needs to remain on the surface for 5 minutes. All solutions should be prepared fresh daily.
Do not use broken or chipped tablets. Do not dissolve tablets in a closed container.

Lower level washroom not in use - discussed making a storage area ( curtain ) inaccessible. Soiled swiffer products also stored within this space to be appropriately discarded when accessed again by children.
