Comments

Facility inspection following renovations of parts of the facility as per submitted plans.
Manager provided thorough walk through of the facility starting from entrance, receiving, through the chain of production until the final product packaging.
Floors, ceilings, walls of the facility are generally clean and free of food or other debris.
Minimal or no pooling of water from equipment.
Lights have coverings.
Lights in walk in cooler have coverings.
Walk in cooler is <4C.
Food is packaged into food grade liners/bags before packing into cardboard boxes.
Machines, conveyor belts, racks and equipment are all generally clean, well maintained and organized as per production chain plan.

Hand washing stations are located at entrances and main entrance to facility and are supplied with hot and cold running water, soap and paper towel in dispensers.
Staff washrooms are well supplied with soap and paper towel in dispensers.
Staff wear PPE and protect food from contamination using lab coats, hair nets, beard nets and hand wash and don on gloves when necessary.
Staff are screened for symptoms prior to starting work.

Facility uses chlorine based foam cleanser for equipment washing, rinses with water then uses peracetic acid based sanitizer (hydrogen peroxide and acetic acid active ingredients). PHI does not have test kit to verify the final sanitizing rinse concentration, however, facility has Peracetic acid titration kits available and maintains sanitizer concentration records weekly). Operator asked to send PHI MSDS sheets and testing records after the inspection for verification.
3 compartment sink and spray hoses available in sanitizing room.

Facility follows up with pest control. Traps are located against the wall and near entrances. No signs of pest activity.
Floor drains are screened.
Light is showing through one of the entrance doors in the receiving area. Recommend to install a door sweep to prevent pest entry.
There is a trap located close to this entrance.

Facility renovations are constructed as per plans. Facility is approved to operate.

No signature required due to Covid19 precautions.
