Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Mildew noted on the condenser tray of the ice machine. All ice in the machine is to be discarded and unit is to be properly washed and sanitized.

Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): No paper towels available in front hand washing station. Ensure all hand washing stations are equipped with liquid soap and paper towels at al times.

209 - Food not protected from contamination [s. 12(a)]
Observation: Flour product stored in bin located by the back exit door was infested with what appears to be beetles. Food product was discarded. All staff member must thoroughly inspect all dry goods. Bins are to be thoroughly washed and sanitized after they are emptied.
Rice scoop and scissors stored in stagnate water. Rice scoops are to be stored in a container of ice and not in water.

Observation: Infant insects and eggs found on glue trap placed within the dry storage area. Operator is to contact the contract pest control company and identify the potential pest problem. All open dry foods such as flour, rice, sugar, etc must be stored in a sealed food grade container with a tight fitting lid.

Observation: More frequently cleaning is needed underneath the grill area.
Dry storage also needs to be more frequently. All food products must be stored at least 6 inches off the ground.

Comments

Routine inspection conducted and the following were noted.
All cooler units at 4C.
Stand-up freezer at -18C.
High temperature dishwasher achieved a final rinse temperature of at least 71C at plate level. High temperature dishwasher is to be checked daily to ensure a temperature of 82C is achieved at the gauge or 71C at plate level.
Liquid pasteurized eggs used on the wok line for stir fried noodles.

Ensure all staff member certified with FOODSAFE Level 1 keeps a photocopy of their certification on-site. At least 1 person must be certified with FOODSAFE Level 1 while the restaurant is open.
