Introduction

An unscheduled inspection was conducted to assess compliance with the Community Care and Assisted Living Act (CCALA), the Child Care Licensing Regulations (CCLR) and the relevant Director of Licensing Standards of Practice (DLSP). All care categories were inspected for compliance.

Current Inspection - Items reviewed comply with the Act, regulations & standards of practice except for those noted on supplementary pages.

Observed Violations
STAFFING: 12210 - CCLR s.23(1)(a) - A licensee must ensure that children have at all times immediate access to an employee who (a) holds a valid first aid and CPR certificate, provided on completion of a course that meets the requirements of Schedule C.
Observation: Licensee/Manager's first aid certification expired in February 2022
Corrective Action(s): Please renew first aid certification as soon as possible

Comments

At the inspection dated March 23, 2022 there were 5 children and 1 staff present.

At this inspection the above noted contravention were identified. The Licensee/Manager will take action to bring the facility into compliance and provide a
written response to the Licensing Officer. The Licensing Officer will review the response.

As part of this Routine Inspection a Facility Risk Assessment Tool is completed. For this inspection the contents of the Facility Inspection Report and Risk Assessment were discussed on site, however were written off site and provided to the Licensee/Manager via email. No signatures were captured during today’s inspection.
