Introduction

An unscheduled routine inspection was conducted to assess compliance with the Community Care and Assisted Living Act (CCALA), the Child Care Licensing Regulations (CCLR) and the relevant Director of Licensing Standards of Practice (DoLSoP). All care categories were inspected for compliance.

Observed Violations
No violations were found during the inspection.

Comments

At the inspection dated May 27, 2021 there were 8 children and 1 staff present. At this inspection no contraventions were identified. As part of this Routine Inspection a Facility Risk Assessment Tool is completed and a copy is provided.
Inspection report completed off site and provided by email therefore signature not obtained. It is noted that the facility manager was not present for the inspection.
Discussed ensuring systems remain in place to complete Covid Screening , referred staff to review the previous Audit conducted at the facility.
Staff remained in close proximity to children during times in which they were seated at the table and in high chairs, discussed importance of securing children with when eating to prevent risk of injury should the staff's attention be drawn elsewhere. 1 child stood up in the chair and was quickly attended to by the staff.
