Observation: Light bulbs in the walk-in-cooler lacked a shatterproof cover over it.
Corrective Action(s): Install a shatterproof cover over the light bulb in the walk-in-cooler; Correct by May 10, 2019 (within 1 month).

502 - In operator’s absence, no staff on duty has FOODSAFE Level 1 or equivalent [s. 10(2)]
Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Only staff member on shift in the absence of the Operator had an expired FOODSAFE Level 1 certificate based on the provincial database system.
Corrective Action(s): Make sure at least one staff member in the absence of the Operator has a valid FOODSAFE Level 1 certificate; Effective immediately. If staff members have expired FOODSAFE Level 1 certificates, they can renew them by taking and passing a FOODSAFE Level 1 full course.

Comments

Permit to operate was posted.
Handsinks were supplied with liquid soap, hot and cold running water, and paper towels.
Walk-in-cooler, pizza cooler, and front drinks cooler were at or below 4 degrees C.
Hot-held food was at or above 60 degrees C.
Time-tracking system was in place for pizza's held at room temperature. Manager stated that they follow a 2 hour rule and either cook or discard the pizzas that are held at room temperature for 2 hours.
Chest freezer temperature was satisfactory.
200 ppm QUATS sanitizer was available inside two buckets and third compartment sink.
No signs of recent pest activity were present at the time of inspection.
Note: Cleaning is required for one small area of the wall and floor corner near the prep. cooler where a small amount of grease is accumulating.
