Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Noted a few towels on food contact surfaces and several twisted up and stored on undercounter shelving unit across from cookline. One towel noted hanging from rack.
Corrective Action(s): Keep all wiping cloths stored in sanitizer solution to prevent microbial growth. Ensure cloths are fully submerged.

306 - Food premises not maintained in a sanitary condition [s. 17(1)]
Observation: Food debris noted in walk in cooler when several Golden Emblem oil containers were being pulled out.
Corrective Action(s): Do a thorough cleaning in the walk in cooler before storing foods inside. Keep all foods stored off the ground to ensure adequate cleaning is able to be done.

310 - Single use containers & utensils are used more than once [s. 20]
Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Noted dry foods (flour, rice..etc) and foods in cooler unit and foods in freezer stored in Golden Emblem oil containers. As per yesterday's report, these items are single use containers which food (ie. oil) comes in and are not meant to be re-used as food storage containers. Some of the containers had worn away and become stained.
Corrective Action(s): All foods in single use Golden Emblem oil containers as well as the containers were discarded at time of inspection. Obtain reusable food storage containers to store foods.

Comments

- Only 50 seats counted in dining area. No other dining chairs noted on premises at time of inspection. Correction order in effect until 3 consecutive Low hazard routine ratings received. Note: Follow up to routine inspections, consultations and complaint inspections are not the same as routine inspections. Explained the difference to operator's translator at time of inspection.
- Light covers have been replaced on lights above of entrance into the kitchen and outside walk in freezer
- Foods were being thawed under cold running water and in walk in cooler unit
- Required cleaning has been completed. Maintain a high level of sanitation.
