Disinfection:
- High Level Disinfection: (Nippers/cutters, etc.)
- All used implements are to be removed from work stations after use. Items are to be washed (scrubbed with soap and water) prior to disinfection.
- Accel CS-20 utilized for high level disinfection!
* Follow manufacturers directions! (Note: "undiluted" and contact times)
* Expiration dates to be monitored.
- Intermediate Level Disinfection:
- Footbaths: Single use liners used are for each tub.
- ie: Chlorine utilized for Foot Baths. Fill and drain basins. Basins to be cleaned routinely. (Follow guideline for dilution: 1 part bleach to 49 parts water/20 ml chlorine per 980 ml of water.) Filter/drain screens to be removed and disinfected. See notes in regards to magnetic foot basin holders.
- Sanitary Facilities: Ok.
- Sanitation: Refer to Violation Notes.
- Ensure hands are washed prior to treatments. (clients/service providers.) Nails are to be examined for infection prior to service.
- Single use items: (nail files, tongue depressors, etc) Items are to be discarded after use. Remove from work stations after use.
- Laundry services on site. Ensure all items (towels/linen) are washed after each client. Recommend hot water wash and hot dry cycle. Bed liners to be changed after each client.
- Credo blades are to be disposed of in sharp resistant containers.
- Make up brushes are to be cleaned and washed on a regular basis.
- Air quality discussed. (Acrylic vs Gel)
