Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Dairy products in the bar cooler measured 11.7C internal, iced coffee measured 13.9C internal, chai mix measured 14.1C internal.
Corrective Action(s): potentially hazardous foods discarded, other contents moved to working cooler in the back of house. ensure that all cold potentially hazardous foods are kept <4C at all times.

Observation: Renovations of front of house and back of house started without obtaining health approval.
-Back of house layout changed
-Flooring in the coffee bar has been removed and concrete exposed
-Janitorial mop sink disconnected from wall, plumbing in wall exposed
-Packages of food and to go containers have a layer of dust from demos
Corrective Action(s): As per inspection reports from May and Dec 2019, floor plans for renovations were to be submitted to City of New Westminster and Fraser Health for review prior to commencing work.
Order issued to cease renovations until floor plans are reviewed and approved by area inspector

Observation: Tile floors in the bar have been removed, floor is not able to be cleaned properly. construction dust and debris noted in bar cubbies, food packages, food handling utensils, and take out containers.
Corrective Action(s): Full cleaning of the facility required after renovations are complete.

Observation: -South display cooler, bar cooler, and mini black cooler unable to maintain contents <4C.
-Ice machine was pooling water inside ice machine well
-Janitorial sink not connected to plumbing
-Bar cooler door's hinges broken, does not close properly
Corrective Action(s): Repair the above noted items.

=BOH and FOH handwash stations stocked with liquid soap, paper towels, and hot/cold running water
=Display cooler (sandwich 4C,dessert 20C but empty), bar cooler (12C), black mini cooler (13C) and back of house double upright cooler (3C) measured < 4 degrees C
=Upright double freezer measured -15C and 18C
=High temperature dishwasher had a final rinse temperature of 77.1 C at the dish surface (minimum 71 C required for proper sanitizing)
=Sanitizer solution at 200 ppm QUATS available in spray bottles and in containers for wiping cloths
=No evidence of pest activity noted at the time of inspection
=Staff hygiene satisfactory at the time of inspection; manager FOODSAFE equivalent certification on site, good to 2025 (SH).
notes:
Staff maintain temperature log of all cooler and freezer units, however corrective actions are not being followed up, bar fridge recorded to be >4 degrees since May 2021.

Updated food safety plan and sanitation plan required to be reviewed and approved.
