Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): 1. No sanitizer available at time of inspection
2. Meat slicer contains a small amount of grime at the bottom of the blade.
3. Can opener has food debris trapped between the gears.
Corrective Action(s): 1. Sanitizer spray bottle was refilled with a 200 ppm bleach solution. Ensure that you use this at all times to ensure that food contact surfaces are adequately sanitized to kill bacteria that could cause foodborne illness.
2. Meat slicer and can opener were cleaned and sanitized at time of inspection.

Observation: Both light panels on ceiling still have not been replaced, exposing bare light tubes.

Observation: No thermometer inside hot-holding pizza warmer.

Comments

Routine inspection conducted. Facility is in very good sanitary condition and is generally well maintained and operated, and is a noticeable improvement from the previous routine inspection. The following observations were noted:

1. Temperatures
- Stand-up coolers at 4C
- Upright freezer and chest freezer at -18C
- Pizza warmer maintains 60C or greater
- Cooling units equipped with accurate thermometers

2. Hygiene and Sanitizing
- Handwash stations in kitchen and restrooms stocked with hot/cold running water, liquid soap, and single-use paper towels
- Restroom in good sanitary condition
- General sanitary condition of facility is good, ventilation slats are well maintained
- Pizza warmer and utensils, knives, trays generally maintained in good sanitary condition

3. Storage
- All food items are stored at least 6" off the floor
- No open containers of flour noted at time of inspection - all flour securely located inside dry storage bin
- Scoops stored outside of the dry storage bin

4. Pests
- No signs of recent pest activity at time of inspection
- Fly trap present on premise

5. Administrative
- Operator has FoodSafe 1, which will expire on July 29, 2018. Go to www.foodsafe.ca to take the Level 1 Refresher Course before July 29, 2018. This is mandatory
