Observation: No hot running water at the hand washing sink - water is cold.
No hot running water at the dishwashing sink (water was only warm) at the start of the inspection. Water was hot again at the end of the inspection (1 hour later).
Staff stated there was hot water when all the racks were washed. Staff used hot water for approx 40 mins.
Potential leak in plumbing or hot water tank is too small and cannot keep up with the demand.
There is hot running water in the staff washroom.
Corrective Action(s): Ensure all sinks have hot and cold running water at all times. Correct immediately.
Repair leaks or replace hot water tank if needed.
Failure to comply may result in further enforcement action.

Observation: Hand washing sink does not have running water. This is a repeat violation.
Corrective Action(s): All sinks must have cold and hot running water at all times. Use back sink in dishwashing area for washing hands in the interim - stock with liquid soap and paper towel.
Correct immediately.
Failure to comply may result in further enforcement action.

Comments

Hot water tank not meeting the demands of the facility.
Replace/repair immediately.
Follow-up inspection to be carried out tomorrow morning.
If hot water issue is not addressed immediately, facility must close as hot water is required for proper sanitation.

Facility was allowed to remain open as it was preparing to close (no food being prepared at the time of inspection, dishes have been washed and sanitized).


Note: FSP 13-1 Display Management System Log has been filled out from all the way from May 1, 2022. The same log was not filled out on the routine inspection on May 12, 2022. Do not falsify records. Potentially hazardous foods will not be allowed to kept at room temperature if accurate records are not maintained.
