Code 401 noted on Routine inspection # SDHI-CNWRYY of Feb-10-2023 Adequate handwashing stations not available for employees [s. 21(4)] Observation: 1. Hand washing station in service area is not supplied with hot water during inspection. Hot water handle is not tight enough to dispense hot water. Staff are using the hand washing station behind the wall (within 1 foot) for hand washing purposes. Staff has contacted a plumber. 2. Hand washing station in back kitchen area is not supplied with paper towel during inspection. Staff placed paper towel in the dispenser during inspection. Hand sink is supplied with hot and cold running water, liquid soap and paper towel. Correction: Repair the hand washing station at the front service area immediately to ensure it is able to dispense an adequate supply of hot and cold running water for proper hand washing purposes. Maintain all hand washing stations with hot and cold running water, liquid soap and paper towel at all times to ensure staff are washing their hands properly and to prevent contamination of food. Monitor staff hand washing frequency. Gloves are not a replacement for proper, frequent hand washing. To be corrected by: Feb 13, 2023
