Comments

Follow up inspection.
Semi critical items (cuticle nippers, nail clippers, etc.) are being disinfected with high level disinfectant (using 1/4 cup bleach in 2 cups of water and making this at the start of every day) - good.
Sanding bands are being discarded after each use - good.
Waxing room has been cleaned - good.
Reviewed procedures for the use of the pedicure blades (razors). Keep the razor blades in their original wrapping until you are ready to use them (do not pre-load). Sharps container is available for disposing of blades after they are used (single use only).
*** Written procedures must be available at the salon that show how all of the implements and nail tools are cleaned and disinfected. This is called an "infection control plan". Suggest that you post instructions for staff to follow as part of your infection control plan.
