Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Quats sanitizer spray bottle had no detectable Quats sanitizer concentration.
Corrective Action(s): Quats sanitizer must be at 200ppm to allow for proper sanitizing of food contact surfaces. Quats sanitizer spray bottle was refilled and tested at 200ppm at the time of inspection.

Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Washed condiment caps were found to have sauce on them.
Corrective Action(s): Ensure all equipment is properly washed and sanitized to prevent potential contamination of foods. Containers were washed and sanitized at the time of inspection.

Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Two boxes of chemicals were found stores above onion in the back storage area.
Corrective Action(s): Ensure chemicals are properly stored separately from food and food contact surfaces to prevent potential contamination of foods. Chemicals were relocated at the time of inspection.

Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): 1) Under counter cooler was at 8C. Large amount of ice build-up was observed by the back.
2) 3-compartment sink was found to have a leak
Corrective Action(s): 1) Contact a service technician to service cooler and ensure it can maintain 4C or less on a consistent basis. Condiments and foods were moved to a cooler at 4C at the time of inspection.
2) Contact a service technician to repair the leak in the sink and ensure all equipment is in good working order.

Comments

-Inspection conducted a student Environmental Health Officer.
-Walk-in cooler was at 3C.
-Walk-in freezer was at -20C.
-Front sandwich prep coolers were at 3C and 4C.
-Hot holding was greater than 60C.
-Frozen foods were found thawing in a cooler 3C.
-Temperatures are checked and recorded twice daily.
-Cleaning and sanitizing carried out in the 3-compartment sink. Quats sanitizer was at 200ppm.
-Handwash stations accessible and supplied with hot and cold running water, liquid hand soap, and single use paper towels. Staff observed practicing good hand hygiene practices at the time of inspection.
-Slicer and shredder were found to be clean and sanitary.
-Deli meat slicer was found to be clean and sanitary.
-General food storage practices good at the time of inspection. Foods properly covered and stored off the ground.
-General sanitation good at the time of inspection.
-No signs of pests noted at the time of inspection. Staff stated properly manager has pest control for the building.
-Washroom clean and sanitary. Handwash station supplied with liquid hand soap and single use paper towels.
-FOODSAFE Level 1 equivalent valid until August 24, 2027.
