Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Cold potentially hazardous food (one insert of seafood, two inserts of meat, and a few inserts of prepped vegetables) were stored above 4 degrees C for less than 2 hours inside the prep. cooler.
Corrective Action(s): Staff moved the above-noted cold potentially hazardous food above 4 degrees C for less than 2 hours to the second prep. cooler at or below 4 degrees C. Ensure all cold potentially hazardous food is stored at or below 4 degrees C (40 degrees F).

Observation: Permit to operate was not posted in a conspicuous location at the food service establishment.
Corrective Action(s): Please ensure your permit to operate is posted in a conspicuous location at the food service establishment. Health Operating Permit Replacement form was provided in case you are unable to find your permit to operate (refer to this form for details). It was discussed that the fee for replacing a health operating permit is $30.00 payable to Fraser Health.

308 - Equipment/utensils/food contact surfaces are not in good working order [s. 16(b)]
Observation: Prep. cooler ("soup cooler") was at 8.5 degrees C at the time of inspection. Temperature log was last dated April 18, 2022 which indicated this cooler was at 5 degrees C.
Corrective Action(s): Do not store any cold potentially hazardous food inside this cooler until it is maintained at or below 4 degrees C; Effective immediately. Adjust, repair, or re-service prep. cooler to maintain a temperature at or below 4 degrees C; Correct as soon as possible within 1 week and contact the district Environmental Health Officer to provide an update by April 27, 2022.

Please maintain temperature records for refrigeration units on at least a daily basis on a consistent basis. Refrigeration unit temperatures should be checked upon opening the food service establishment and every 2 hours between use. If temperatures are noticed above 4 degrees C, then follow the corrective action in accordance with your health approved food safety plan and note the corrective action on the temperature log.

Both handsinks were supplied with liquid soap, hot and cold running water, and single-use paper towels.
3-compartment sink was operational and equipped with drain plugs.
100 ppm chlorine sanitizer was available in a sanitizer pail with wiping cloths.
Walk-in-cooler and second prep. cooler including upper insert components were at or below 4 degrees C.
Upright freezer was at or below -18 degrees C.
Hot-held rice was at or above 60 degrees C.
Dry goods were stored off the floor and without damage to packaging in the designated locked dry storage room.
Both ventilation hoods appeared to be in a clean condition.
Ice machine appeared to be in a clean condition with scoop stored separately.
Staff member with valid FOODSAFE Level 1 training was present on shift.
Signature on this report is not required due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
