Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Two containers of food colouring on site. Container labels stated "for external use only" and "for decoration purpose and not for human consumption." Operator stated that this food colouring is used in the preparation of food items and is added to individual orders before serving. Operator also stated that this food colouring is not added to any bulk items or any items that are stored in advance.
Corrective Action(s): Above-noted items discarded during inspection. Supplier information collected. To be referred to the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA). See physical file for product photos.

Follow up to Rpt # MBEK-B4BTGP.

Inspection conducted regarding food colouring agents being used on site. Containers of "Bush Permicol" food colouring were labeled as food coloring; however, additional labels applied to the product container indicate "for decoration purpose and not for human consumption" and "for external use only." Food colouring agents were discarded by operator at time of inspection. Ensure that these items are not used as they are labeled as not intended for human consumption. Supplier information to be forwarded to the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA).
