Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): 1. Deceased fruit flies adhered to the bottom of a cabinet in the bar area were not removed (this was identified in the routine inspection).
2. Glass shards and debris at the bottom of the bar glass cabinet were still present.
Corrective Action(s): Fruit flies, glass shards, and debris all removed at time of inspection. Ensure that all areas of your premise are maintained in good sanitary condition.

Comments

Follow-up inspection conducted to the routine from January 6, 2020 (RPT#: JMAA-BKL39Z). The following improvements were noted during the inspection:

Ice machine has been cleaned and sanitized and was noted to be in very good sanitary condition. Ensure that the ice machine is regularly cleaned and sanitized as per your cleaning schedule
A cleaned and sanitized food-grade plastic container was used to store the ice in the bar area
Sanitizing pails present at back-of-house, and spray bottles at front-of-house with QUATS at 200 ppm
Ice cream scoops are now cleaned and sanitized after each use - excellent. A container that states 'clean scoops only' was found next to the ice cream freezer - excellent
FoodSafe 1 certificates provided for the Environmental Health Officer for review at time of inspection.
General manager states that order for replacement permit has been sent in to the billing department
