Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Bags of onions were stored next to cans of butane on shelving unit in storage room.

Relocate onions. Do not store food next to chemicals.

Observation: Elastic bands are being used as a handle for left side of 2 door cooler. Bands are held in place with 2 nails where the sharp ends point out creating potential for injury. Staff informed that the owner has considered replacing the entire cooler unit.
Corrective Action(s): Replace or repair the door handle. Elastic bands are not a cleanable surface and the nails create an injury hazard.

Routine

- 2 door freezer: -15C (all items in solid state)
- 2 door cooler: 3.9C
- Sandwich prep cooler: 2.7C
- Probed insert items ranged from 6C to 7C. Inserts were filled at 9:30am, inspection took place at 11:15am.
- Items that were not used within 4 hours during the lunch rush must be discarded. Time tracking should be in place. Do not move leftovers into the cooler for re-use.
- Beverage cooler: 0C
- Chest freezer (behind service bar): -20C
- Chest freezer (in hallway): -20C
- Rice cooker: 74C
- Scoop stored in sanitary manner.

- Handsink supplied with hot+cold water, liquid soap and paper towels. (recommend to put paper towels on a rack).
- Sanitizer bucket with wiping cloths submerged contained 200ppm bleach solution.
- Vent hood condition was satisfactory. Next service date will be Oct 1, 2021.
- Stored foods in coolers and freezer are protected from contamination.
- Dry goods stored in pest proof containers.
- No signs of pests at time of inspection. Pest control devices were noted on site but facility does not receive regular pest control services.
- FOODSAFE requirements met at the time of inspection.
