Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Raw meat was found thawing in a broken freezer. The ambient air temperature of the freezer was measured at 8°C and the surface of the raw meat was at 1°C.
Corrective action: Raw meat was transferred to walk-in cooler (2°C ambient temperature). This is a repeat violation. Do not store any raw meat or other perishable foods in upright freezer as it cannot maintain a temperature of 4°C or less. Owner stated that freezer will be replaced on Monday May 30.

Equipment/utensils/food contact surfaces not maintained in sanitary condition [s. 17(1)] (Inside of ice machine has an accumulation of dark slime.
Corrective action: remove all ice from ice machine, then wash and sanitize using 100ppm bleach sanitizer. Slime/mould may contaminate ice that is used for beverages. Ensure that ice machine is cleaned and sanitized on a regular schedule.
