Observation: Found newspaper being used to line shelves, counters and trays for food.
Corrective Action(s): Must not use newspaper as it is not easily washable and it can contaminate food/food contact surfaces with ink and dirty.

311 - Premises not maintained as per approved plans [s. 6(1)(b)]
Observation: Found area behind dishwashing sink to be improperly repaired, gaps are present under 1 to 2 layers of new metal and plastic being used to repair worn wall and ledge.
Corrective Action(s): Current repairs makes it difficult to clean with the presence of gaps between and under each piece, as well as provides great places for food, water and pests to hide/accumulate.
Repair the wall and ledge properly with easily cleanable and durable materials. Ensure the materials are flush to the existing wall.

- All coolers were 4 C or colder
- Freezers were - 18 C or colder
- Hot holding of rice was 61 and 64 C
- Hand sinks had liquid soap, paper towel, hot and cold water
- Spray bottle had 200 ppm chlorine
-Dishwasher had a final rinse of 50 ppm chlorine
- No signs pest activity noted during inspection
- General sanitation is satisfactory, a little extra attention is required on filters in hood and behind deep fryer.
