Routine inspection: Hair: No hair cutting. Only up do's. Combs disinfected in King Research barbicide solution. Hair wash station equipped with backflow prevention device. Hand sink provided with liquid soap and paper towels. Threading: All threads single use. Waxing: Treatment bed paper liner single use. Linen sheet changed after each client. Facials: Cotton, sponges, and gauze all single use. Comedone extractor disinfected in PREempt CS20 solution. (Expires 06/11/2019) Treatment bed paper liner also single use. Linen sheet also changed after each client. Utility sink provided with liquid soap and single use linen towels. Laundry services done onsite separate from personal items. Laser hair removal using IPL (new service): Laser hair removal device licensed with Health Canada. Laser machine equipped with emergency on/off button and is key operated. Goggles completely opaque. Goggles lined with single use cotton. Goggles wiped down with Caviwipes after use. No mirrors in treatment area. Same treatment bed as for facials. Razors used to prepare skin is disposable. Sharps container available for use. ***Operator to obtain and laser warning sign to post on door to laser treatment room.*** Health approval granted to begin laser hair removal services using IPL machine once warning sign is up. Manicure/Pedicure: PREempt CS20 solution available for disinfecting semi critical nail implements. Buffers, files, and sanding blocks single use.
