Introduction

An unscheduled routine inspection was conducted to assess compliance with the Community Care and Assisted Living Act (CCALA), the Child care Licensing Regulations (CCLR) and the relevant Director of Licensing Standards of Practice (DLSP). All areas of the facility were reviewed for compliance.

No violations were found during the inspection.

Comments

Summary of inspection: At today’s inspection there were 15 children and 3 staff present in the Group Child Care (school age) Program Thirty one children are currently enrolled. At this inspection the above noted contraventions were identified. Licensee is required to submit a corrective action plan to Licensing by the date below Licensing will review and monitor the corrective action plan. As part of this Routine Inspection a Facility Risk Assessment Tool was completed and a copy was provided. The following education/recommendations were provided through discussion: - Facility promotes Active Play in the program - Active Supervision - Reportable Incident reporting to Duty line: #604 587 3936 for emergencies if area Licensing Officer can’t be contacted. - Attendance record - Obtaining site specific Criminal Record Checks The following resources were provided at the time of inspection/by email: - Reportable Incident Bulletin - Child Safety Alert Bulletin Visit the CCFL website at www.fraserhealth.ca/childcare for additional resources, and links to the Legislation (CCALA and CCLR).
