Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): 1. Operator stated that deli slicers were wiped with a damp cloth throughout the day. Slicers used continuously. Damp cloth observed on counter next to slicers.
2. Operator stated that dishes and utensils are washed and rinsed without a final sanitizing step.
Corrective Action(s): 1. Ensure that food equipment that is used continuously is being properly cleaned and sanitized at least every four hours to limit potential cross contamination. Discussed proper cleaning and sanitizing of slicers with operator. Ensure that cloths, if used continuously, are stored in a sanitizing solution when not in use.
2. Ensure that all food contact surfaces, utensils, and equipment are sanitized after washing and rinsing. Manual ware washing poster provided at time of inspection. Sink plugs available for ware washing.

Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Open bucket of bran found double stacked on open bucket of oats.
Corrective Action(s): Ensure that containers are fitted with lids to protect from contamination. Potential contaminants from the exterior of containers may contaminate food that is double stacked.

Observation: Food and/or debris observed in the following locations:
- On shelves in front service area
- Under central prep table (buildup)
- Under unit with white drawers (buildup)
- On fan of 3 door cooler
Corrective Action(s): Please ensure that the above-noted areas, along with any hard-to-reach areas, are properly cleaned. Food debris may attract pest activity. Date to be corrected by: October 17, 2017.

- Domestic fridge at 3 degrees C (lower section) and -17 degrees C (upper section)
- Three door reach in freezer at -13 degrees C
- Large chest freezer at -27 degrees C
- Small chest freezer at -19 degrees C
- Hand washing stations (front, 2 compartment sink) supplied with hot and cold running water, liquid hand soap, and single use paper towels.
- Bleach water sanitizer available in spray bottle at 200 ppm
- No evidence of recent pest activity at time of inspection--pest traps empty
- Screen door in place at back door
- Staff washroom clean and sink is properly supplied
- Discussed FOODSAFE expiry with operator. As of July 29, 2018, all FOODSAFE Level 1 certificates issued in BC have a five-year expiry date.
