304 - Premises not free of pests [s. 26(a)]
Observation: -Ongoing rodent issues - mouse droppings noted on floor in corner near bay door and on shelving where packaging is stored.
-One small mouse noted on adhesive trap near bay door
Corrective Action(s): -Clean up droppings immeidately and continue to monitor for further activity daily, removing any additional droppings noted. Continue to maintain a high level of sanitation and keep floor area clear to facilitate cleaning and monitoring.

*Significant improvement to cleanliness noted in storage area by bay door. Floor area is mostly clear. Pest Control technician was on-site 16-July-2018 with additional traps placed. Report indicated fly control light to be placed at next visit. Staff reported contract is for every two weeks. Retain service reports on-site.

Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): -Bay door was open with loosely fitting mesh/screen. Screen was not affixed to walls leaving gaps large enough for pest entry.
Corrective Action(s): -Keep door closed. If door is open, it must be fitted with a tightly fitted screen which is capable of excluding all pests (ie. flies and rodents). Staff on duty closed door at time of the inspection.

Comments

-Display cooler is still not working and not in use. Staff reported Operator is determining whether to fix or replace.
-Area where mixer is was free from rodent droppings. Continue to monitor this area in addition to the areas noted in the violation above (code 304).
-Organization and cleanliness of shelving has improved since previous inspection.
