PHYSICAL FACILITY, EQUIPMENT AND FURNISHINGS: 11200 - CCLR s.17 - A licensee must ensure that children do not have access to any object or substance that may be hazardous to the health or safety of a child.
Observation: The following was observed during the inspection in an unlocked cupboard:
-Shaving cream. This is a repeat contravention from inspection # CLAN-BY4QRL
-An aerosol can with a chemical that read, "keep out of reach of children".
This was corrected during the inspection.

PHYSICAL FACILITY, EQUIPMENT AND FURNISHINGS: 11220 - CCLR s.23(2) - A licensee must have first aid kits that are readily accessible to all employees, including while care is provided off the community care facility premises.
Observation: The first aid kit was missing a triangular bandage. This was discussed at the last inspection.
Corrective Action(s): Please ensure the first aid kit has sufficient supplies

STAFFING: 12140 - CCLR s.19(4)(a) - A licensee must not employ a person in a community care facility as (a) an educator or an assistant unless the person holds a certificate issued under Division 2 [Employee Qualifications], which must be verified by the system maintained by the early childhood educator registry. (Educator or assistant certificate validation)
Observation: Three staff records were reviewed of three. Three staff were missing their verification with the ECE registry. In discussion with the Manager she stated she has verified two of the certificates but no information was available for review. This is a repeat contravention from inspections # CLAN-BCDPQD, #CLAN-BY4QRL and #CLAN-CBVVJN.
Corrective Action(s): Please ensure to verify staff certificates and provide documentation in the staff record as verification that this is completed.

MEDICATION: 16010 - CCLR s.53(1)(a) - If a licensee has agreed with a parent to give a child any medication prescribed by a medical practitioner or provided by the parent, the licensee and his or her employees must ensure that the medication is (a) administered to the child in the amount and at the times specified by the child's parent or in the child's record or care plan.
Observation: Products with a drug identification number (DIN) were observed in the first aid kit. No permission for applying these medications was observed. This was discussed at a previous inspection. These were removed from the first aid kit.
Corrective Action(s): Please ensure to have written permission from a parent or guardian prior to administering any medication

Observation: The attendance record was observed for the month of February. Six departure times were missing from the attendance record
