Introduction

An unscheduled inspection was conducted to assess compliance with the Community Care and Assisted Living Act (CCALA), the Child Care Licensing Regulation (CCLR) and the relevant Director of Licensing Standards of Practice (DOLSP). All areas of the facility were inspected for compliance.

Contraventions
Previous Inspection - Contraventions observed on FIR #DCAR-B4TNG4 have been corrected.
Current Inspection - Items reviewed comply with the Act, regulations & standards of practice.

Observed Violations
No violations were found during the inspection.

Comments

At this inspection dated December 17, 2019, licensing arrived as children were being picked up from the morning preschool program.
No contraventions were identified during the inspection.
There are currently 41 children enrolled in Preschool (30 Months to School Age) and 42 enrolled in Group Child Care (School Age).
The following was discussed with the manager:
- Care plans and medications
- Reportable incidents and minor incidents
- Daily schedule of activities
- Active supervision
- Snack preparation
As part of the routine inspection a Facility Risk Assessment Tool is completed and a copy is provided. The Risk Assessment includes non-compliance identified during the routine inspection and a 3 year “historical” review of the facility’s compliance and operation.
