Comments

- The temperature of the upright cooler in the cafe measured 9C. The owner lowered the temperature at the time of inspection.
- The temperature of the walk-in cooler in the kitchen measured 4.4C.
- Temperature monitoring logs shall be emailed to the health inspector.

- It was noted during the last routine inspection that handsinks lacked hot water. Discussion with the owner revealed that due to the limited hot water tank volume, the volume of hot water provided fluctuates during operation. Hot water is provided at the start of operation as per discussion with other staff. According to the owner, he has tried to install a secondary hot water tank which was rejected by the strata. Installation of a booster was rejected as this may pose electrical hazard as the facility is currently at its maximum usage of voltage. The facility is equipped with antibacterial soap at all handsinks and single use gloves are used in the kitchen as an effort to compensate for the diminished volume of hot water. Also, hot water was available at the handsink in the washroom during routine inspection.
