Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): - Temperature of curry in hot holding unit was 52.2C. Product made from pre-packaged powdered mix which contains dairy ingredients. Potentially hazardous foods must be stored at 60C or above. Operator does not have probe thermometer to check temperature.
Corrective Action(s): - Operator advised to discard product.

Observation: - Back hand sink is covered and used as a counter and not accessible for handwashing
Corrective Action(s): - Remove surface which is covering handsink immediately. Handsink must be accessible at all times.

Observation: - Ice creams cones stored adjacent to handsink with cones over edge of handsink. Splashing water from handwashing can contaminate food products.
Corrective Action(s): - Remove ice cream cones from this area. Do not store food products directly adjacent to handsink.

Observation: - Glass door undercounter cooler was operating at 12C
Corrective Action(s): - Have cooler repaired/service so that it is able to maintain a temperature of 4C or colder. Until cooler is repaired/serviced and able to maintain a temperature of 4C or colder, do not store any potentially hazardous foods in this cooler. [Date to be corrected by 29-Jun-2021]

311 - Premises not maintained as per approved plans [s. 6(1)(b)]
Observation: - Additional food items (soft serve, ice cream, rice, pre-cooked chicken, and sauces) added to menu and additional equipment (eg. rice cooker, instapot, hot holding unit, soft serve machine) have been added to premises for which approval was not received. Approval of plans was based on menu of bubble tea, pre-made cakes, and tea/coffee. Size/layout of premises does not allow for increase in menu items.

Wooden partition/wall has been added to service counter. Wood is not sealed.
Corrective Action(s): - Remove additonal items from menu, remove additional equipment which was added and return premises to layout which was approved. [Date to be corrected by: 29-Jun-2021]

- Paint/seal wood so that it is smooth and washable and able to be maintained in a sanitary condition. [Date to be corrected by: 29-Jun-2021]

- In future, if Operator would like to propose changes, proposal must be submitted to Fraser Health for review and Operator must receive approval prior to making any changes.

- High temperature dishwasher operational. Final rinse measured 79C at dish surface.
- Quats food contact surface sanitizer present in spray bottle.

Covid Safety Protocols:
- Operator did not have Covid Safety plan present - Email copy to undersigned by 24-Jun. Ensure the plan is reviewed with staff and is present or accessible on-site. Ensure plan is routinely reviewed and updated. Covid safety plan to include health screening check for staff.
- Operator and staff member were wearing masks
- Distancing was not in place for seating/tables - Operator marked specific tables (to indicate not in use) and removed seats at time of the inspection. Backs of seats of customers at separate tables must be 2m apart.
- Lysol cleaner/disinfectant present for high touch surfaces (10 min contact time)
- Bleach solution also present in spray bottle for high touch surfaces.
