Introduction

An unscheduled follow up inspection to the Routine Inspection #SWAR-AW6QWZ dated February 20th 2018 was conducted. Areas of non-compliance identified at the Routine Inspection were reviewed for compliance.

Licensee/Manager had responded to the coded items in writing.

The following contraventions have been addressed:
11010 - Food is stored in the fridge for any dairy items
12140 - All ECE and ECEA certified staff are now validated through the ECE Registry
12190 - All staff take part in monthly fire drills and are now completed as a whole facility
12200 - The annual evacuation drill has been practiced in March and Licensee identified concerns which can be rectified to better support the procedure
19160 - Licensee has created a checklist for children's files to ensure there is a system in place to track missing information.

Contraventions
Previous Inspection - Contraventions observed on FIR #SWAR-AW6QWZ have been corrected.
Current Inspection - Items reviewed comply with the Act, regulations & standards of practice.

Observed Violations
No violations were found during the inspection.

Comments

On site today was the Licensee with 6 staff on site and 35 children.
Children were involved in circle time after snack as well as outdoor play in the Group child care (under 36 month) program

No other concerns noted at today's inspection.
One staff has now completed ECE Assistant training and is awaiting certification from the Registry. Please submit an application for exemption until the certificate arrives.
