At today’s inspection there were 16 children and 3 staff present. The facility was operating on reduced hours through the Summer.
Licensing reviewed the facility’s COVID-19 prevention strategies.
At this inspection, the above noted contravention/s were identified.
As part of this Routine Inspection, a Facility Risk Assessment Tool is completed and a copy was provided to the facility along with this report.
The Risk Assessment includes any non-compliance identified during the routine inspection and a 3 year ‘historical’ review of the facility’s compliance and operation and is used to determine inspection frequency.
The following was discussed:
- Bathroom supervision plan when the school is in operation
- Safe food storage for packed lunches particularly during the warmer months
- Outdoor play areas utilized
- Emergency evacuation plan requirements
- Ensuring that a record is made of when staff character references are contacted, completing the screening process.
