Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): 1. New rodent droppings around area around undercounter dry storage shelving.
2. Live mouse observed inside the KetchAll(TM) mechanical trap underneath the hand wash station.
Corrective Action(s): 1. Rodent droppings were removed with strong bleach solution (1:10 dilution). Dry storage containers placed back onto shelving after it was disinfected.
2. Contact professional pest control company, and eliminate the live mouse from premise.

Continue to actively monitor for rodent activity with pest control company. Invoice was provided to EHO at time of inspection. Identify any potential entraceways and ensure that they are sealed / covered with gnaw-resistent wire mesh.

Comments

Follow-up inspection for routine conducted on Sep 17, 2018 (RPT#: JMAA-B4PUMJ). The following observations were made:

- Dry storage shelving has been cleaned and disinfected; however, there were some new rodent droppings (see violation code above)
- Professional pest control company has added 3 new Ketch-All (TM) traps in kitchen area, invoice dated Sept 19, 2018
- Areas around kitchen, including flooring, have been cleaned and power washed
- Cooler has also been washed and is in improved sanitary condition
- Walk-in cooler has been serviced by a professional; new components installed. Cooler is now at 4C - excellent
- Temperature logs are maintained and up-to-date
- Scoop available for dry storage bins. Operator states that styrofoam cups will be single-use to measure how much ingredient to take. Ensure that this is DISCARDED after each use
