Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Handwashing station by the "employee only" entrance door lacked single-use paper towel in the paper towel dispenser at the time of inspection.

Corrective action: Staff member replaced a stack of paper towel in the paper towel dispenser. Adequate paper towel is required to facilitate proper handwashing procedures. Handwashing is an important step in preventing the transmission of foodborne illness-causing diseases in a food premise.

-Pastry mini cooler by the warmer machine is at 0.9C
-Milk/drink cooler under the coffee maker is at 3.6C
-Milk/drink cooler by the window is at 4.0C
-Milk/cream cooler by the coffee dump station is at 4.0C
-Milk/cream cooler by the clover machine is at 3.9C
-Front display cooler for snacks and drinks is at 3.6C
-Back upright milk/drink cooler in the employee only area is at 4.0C
-The two upright freezers by the dishwashing area are at or below -18C
-all food/drinks in refrigeration units are properly covered
-All refrigeration units are equipped with accurate thermometers
-Temperature logs are maintained
-All QUATS cloths sanitizer buckets for food contact surfaces achieved 200ppm
-QUATS dispenser by the dishwasher achieved 200 ppm
-Two compartment sink has fitting sink plugs
-High temperature dishwasher achieved 72.0C at the plate level after final rinse cycle
-Ice machine by the dishwasher is clean
-Pastries are time stamped
-No signs of pest activities observed at the time of inspection
-General sanitation is good
-All food items are stored off the floor
-Dry storage area is clean and organized
-Washroom is equipped with hot/cold running water, liquid soap and hand dryer.
-Staff member in charge has a valid Restaurant Canada certificate. Covering staff members have valid Restaurant Canada certificates
-A valid operating permit is posted on the wall by the employee entrance door
-Pest control, Abell, records maintained. Facility is serviced monthly. Monthly reports indicated no pest issues.
