Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Take out boxes (inside large plastic bag) was being stored on top of recycled cans bin.
Corrective Action(s): Move bag of take out boxes to a shelf. Do not store these on top of any recycling/garbage bins, or on the floor.

304 - Premises not free of pests [s. 26(a)]
Observation: At least a dozen cockroaches (small) observed in back area of kitchen, between the chest freezer and the upright freezer (by the back door). There were several items (cutting boards, etc) in between the gap of these two freezers, and when one of the items was moved, the cockroaches came into sight. This was shown to both the kitchen chef and the operator.
Corrective Action(s): Call your pest control company immediately. Last pest control service was June 23rd, 2016. Ensure that pest control treats your kitchen for cockroaches. You will be asked to provide an invoice/proof of their visit.

Observation: Several items throughout kitchen that can be removed. Do not store items between that chest freezer and the upright freezer in the back area (by the back door). The more items you have stored on the floor, the more potential harbourage areas you have for cockroaches and other pests.
Corrective Action(s): Remove any unecessary items from kitchen to decrease the clutter.

Observation: Thorough cleaning needs to be done :
-Under the cooking line, especially on the floors underneat the deep fryer and against the back wall. there is a buildup of black grease/debris
-In the back area where the chest freezer is (by the back door), move the freezer out and clean this back corner area thoroughly. Sanitize the area with bleach water solution as the cockroaches may have contaminated this area.
-Overall sanitation of kitchen requires improvement-- too many scattered items throughout. Re-organize your storage areas and take out any items you do not need.
