Introduction

An unscheduled routine inspection was conducted to assess compliance with the Community Care and Assisted Living Act (CCALA), the Child care Licensing Regulations (CCLR) and the relevant Director of Licensing Standards of Practice (DLSP).
All areas of the facility were reviewed for compliance.

Contraventions
Previous Inspection - Contraventions observed on FIR #SWAR-AUUNQR have been corrected except for those noted on supplementary pages.
Current Inspection - Items reviewed comply with the Act, regulations & standards of practice.

Observed Violations
No violations were found during the inspection.

Comments

Summary of Inspection

At today’s inspection there were 5 children and the Manager/Licensee present. A full walk through of the home was conducted.
At this inspection no contraventions were identified.

Discussion in regards to a request for a temporary placement already approved requiring adaption of adding one day. Assessed the group and program to ensure no added risk to all children in the group.
Licensee will be required to submit an email to request additional day for this child which will be approved by Licensing Officer once received.

As part of this Routine Inspection a Facility Risk Assessment Tool was completed and a copy was provided.

The following education/recommendations were provided:
· Promoting Active Play in the program
· Temporary Placements
· Active Supervision
· Lead in the Water/flushing pipes
